Walls too thin
Thickness per region, measured by rays through the material, against the minimum for the blank you declared.
Drop in the exocad file you already export for every case. The app reads the real geometry, measures in millimetres, points at exactly what to fix — and proves it when you have fixed it.
0.42 mm
-0.18 mm
Real renders the app built from a measured case, placed inside a product-screen mockup.
Six families of defect that only surface after milling — or worse, after it is in the patient.
Thickness per region, measured by rays through the material, against the minimum for the blank you declared.
True cross-section in mm² at the narrowest point — the one number with a published manufacturer minimum.
Overjet, overbite, interpenetration, a clearance map, and whether the posteriors disclude in protrusion.
Undercut and path of insertion on the intaglio surface. However good the fit, an undercut still blocks it.
Each pair of matching teeth mirrored, width-to-length ratio, smile arc and gingival contour against reference norms.
Paste the prescription in and the app cross-checks tooth numbers, unit count and restoration type.
Four engineering decisions separate a measuring tool from a guessing one.
Unpacks LZMA and OpenCTM to get the very triangle mesh the designer built. No enamel-gum threshold to tune, no shape inferred from pixels.
The coordinates in the file are already millimetres, and the anatomical frame is built from the mesh itself. A 0.42 mm wall is 0.42 mm whether your screenshot was large or small.
With no material declared, wall thickness is still measured and still shown — but not scored. Judging against a threshold the user never chose is inventing a verdict.
Plain PHP and GD. No GPU, no external model calls, no paid libraries. That is what makes an on-premise build inside the lab possible at all.
A real QC case does not end at one measurement. All four steps live in one account, and only the first one is charged.
Drop the file in. Eight seconds later you have the result and a render from every angle.
Mark up the case image where it needs fixing, then send it to the designer.
The designer opens the marked-up board, fixes it in exocad, exports again.
Drop both versions in: what improved, what got worse. This is the proof that it is actually fixed.
Every revision of the same case within 30 days is not charged again. Charging per measurement would tax exactly this loop.
The person who approves a case is rarely the person sitting at the exocad machine. The app puts the whole case in their hand — the same score, the same seven stations, the same 3D model.
A case stopped at the gate, a reply on a comment board, a batch measurement that has finished — pushed to the phone, in the language that phone is set to.
Score, case gate, seven stations, the to-fix list and the A4 report sheet. The same numbers as the web, read from the same measurement.
The 3D viewer runs inside the app, and on the comment board you draw straight onto the case image and send it to the designer.
Send the exocad webview file from the design machine to the phone. The server measures it, and the case is in the library before you are back at the bench.
The app is part of every paid plan — nothing extra to buy, no extra seat. You sign in with the account you already use on the web, and each seat gets one web session and one phone session: opening the app does not sign you out of the computer. On the free plan, dentQC stays in the browser.
The free plan measures one case a day, with an unlimited comment board. The paid part is billed per case, not per measurement — however many times you revise it.
